UPCOMING WORK PARTIES

Work parties are a great way to meet fellow gardeners and help keep the garden looking fabulous!

For the 2021 season all gardeners are required to commit 6 hours per year to general garden upkeep.

As of June 15, 2021, the Vancouver Parks Board is allowing work parties of up to 50 people!

2021 WORK PARTIES

9am - noon

IMPORTANT REMINDER for CURRENT GARDEN MEMBERS

Your $30 annual plot fee and member registration is due every year on or before April 1.

Gardeners are encouraged to plant/tend their plots no later than May 1st annually.

These deadlines have been changed for 2021, to reflect the typical growing season.

Details on how to register and pay are sent to garden members annually via email typically in March.

NEW POLICY FOR WAITLIST
(UPDATED MARCH 2021)

To join the wait list, new applicants  need to sign up in person at the garden during a work party and complete a minimum of 3 hours of volunteer work during our garden work parties.

Currently, all plots have been assigned for the 2021 season and the waitlist is closed.

We will resume taking names for the waitlist in Feb/Mar 2022.

We appreciate your patience during this time. We will be updating this site as more details are known.

OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19

In keeping with the Vancouver Parks Board response to the COVID-19 outbreak, effective April 3, 2020, the Brewery Creek Community Garden will be operating a little differently in order to follow the recommended guidelines.

You can read about the changes here.

LITTLE DIGGERS GARDENING PROGRAM

We are offering mini garden plots for kids and their families to use this growing season. Our popular kids gardening program, Little Diggers, had to be put on hold since last year due to the pandemic, but we want to see the space being used by kids and their families again. The mini garden plots are 1’x2’ and are a great space for kids to learn about gardening and explore growing their own food.

All ages and levels of gardening experience are welcome but parent/guardian supervision is required at all times while in the garden.

A brief garden orientation will be provided during your first visit and a small selection of vegetable seeds and gardening tools will be provided. All participants will need to provide their own gardening gloves.

Suggested donation of $20.
